Karin Wendin, Kristianstad University, Sweden
Karin received her PhD at Chalmers University of Technology and after some years of work at a research institute, SIK – the Swedish Institute for Food and Bioscience became guest scientist at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark for three years. SIK is today RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden.
At the end of her time in Copenhagen she became Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology and is now Professor in Food and Meal Science at Kristianstad University in Sweden.
Her main work is at Kristianstad University but she currently splits her time between the Kristianstad University and the University of Copenhagen, where she is Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology.
She is currently working on projects concerning food for the elderly, as well as projects on novel foods including insects and berries as a food sources.
